PROJECT BRIEF

The project is situated in the picturesque locale of Kattakkada, Trivandrum, serving as a testament to cultural preservation and modern functionality. Comprising the Temple, Mandapam, Auditorium, and Residential Unit (3BHK), each component is meticulously designed to honor Kerala’s architectural legacy while embracing sustainable practices.

Drawing inspiration from the region’s rich heritage, the structures feature sloping roofs, wooden columns, and intricate brick jaalis.

The Temple and Mandapam offer tranquil spaces for spiritual reflection and remembrance, while the Auditorium serves as a communal hub, enhanced by an encompassing verandah. In the Residential Unit, tradition meets modernity, prioritizing ample natural light and ventilation to create a harmonious living environment.

With sustainability as the guiding principle, environmental consciousness is ensured in material selection and construction methods, shaping a project that celebrates Kerala’s vernacular aesthetic while nurturing a sense of community and well-being.

TEMPLE

This worship place merges simplicity with spiritual elegance, creating a peaceful sanctuary centered around a sanctum for divine encounters. Surrounded by a prayer hall with brick jaalis diffusing light and topped with a three-layered roof symbolizing ascent, it uses wood and stone to evoke warmth
and durability. It’s a harmonious blend of modesty and spirituality, designed to enrich the divine experience and offer solace.

AUDITORIUM

This auditorium, accommodating up to 100 individuals within a 20x10m hall, is conceived for public rituals, prayers, and discourses. Its design draws from traditional Kerala architecture, featuring a rectangular plan, sloping roofs, and wooden columns, complemented by an encompassing verandah, embodying the region’s vernacular aesthetic while facilitating communal spiritual engagements.

SAMADHI MANDAPAM

This mandapam, dedicated to the memory of our client’s late father, serves as a solemn space for family and friends to honor his life. Designed as an open area under a Kerala-style roof, it seamlessly connects with nature, incorporating traditional elements that root it firmly in its cultural context, making it a poignant tribute and a serene gathering place for remembrance.

3 BHK

Indulge in Kerala’s tranquility at this 3BHK retreat, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. Amidst lush greenery, spacious bedrooms and a cozy living room beckon. The well -appointed kitchen invites culinary adventures. Serene evenings await on the veranda, where vibrant colors and intricate woodwork illuminate under ample natural light. Traditional sloping roofs enhance the ambiance with ample lighting and ventilation, ensuring a harmonious fusion of heritage and contemporary living
